Going Jay Bilas on this - it's the NCAA's doing


The entire portal implementation in recent years, the financial possibilities of player likeness, stipends, etc. are a direct result and consequence of the NCAA being a relic with ancient policies. They should have addressed this in prior decades, but did not. I'm all for players having these rights now and taking full advantage of them to meet their needs. My gripe, or my whining really, was that this is all happening so quickly now, thanks to the inactions of the NCAA, that it is hard to come to grips with as a fan of a particular team.
